Accountant Full Time

Jotech Paints, a reputable paint manufacturing firm based in Ras Al Khaimah, is seeking a dedicated Accountant to maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting principles. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and have a strong understanding of accounting practices, with a focus on accounts payable, reconciliation, and tax-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable: Process accounts payable transactions accurately by verifying necessary documentation and supporting details.
• Reconciliation: Reconcile intercompany accounts, handle discrepancies, and monitor cash flow by reconciling bank statements to ensure funds availability.
• VAT Filing: Handle VAT returns and other tax-related matters as per legal requirements.
• Vendor Management: Validate accounts payable vouchers, ensuring correct coding for vendors, customers, cost centers, and general ledger accounts.
• Internal Audits: Assist in conducting internal audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Document Review: Maintain accurate accounting documents, such as vouchers, invoices, delivery notes, and purchase orders.
• Payments: Ensure timely payments to avoid late fees and penalties and provide all related information as required.
• Bank Transactions: Review cheques and bank transfers for vendor invoices and properly credit accounts in accordance with procedures.
• Additional Tasks: Provide support with all other tasks and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 2 years of UAE experience as an Accountant.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP software (e.g., SAP knowledge is an advantage).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Preference for immediate joiners.

Salary: AED 3,000 – 3,500 (based on experience)
