Accountant Full Time

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Maintain accurate books of accounts in accordance with IFRS and company policies.
• Prepare and finalize monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Ensure timely and accurate posting of all transactions in ERP (Zoho preferred).
• Review, reconcile, and correct fixed asset register, accruals, and prepayments.
• Handle month-end and year-end closing processes.

2. Compliance & Taxation

• Prepare and file VAT returns and corporate tax filings in line with UAE law.
• Maintain proper documentation for audits and compliance checks.
• Liaise with external auditors, ensuring audit requirements are met.

3. Accounts Receivable & Payable

• Oversee AP/AR processes and coordinate with the accounting executive for collections and payments.
• Review supplier invoices, payment runs, and credit terms.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.

4. Bank & Cash Management

• Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure accurate cash flow tracking.
• Assist in forecasting and managing company liquidity.

5. Process & Controls

• Identify process gaps and implement stronger internal controls.
• Ensure all supporting documents are properly filed and accessible.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA/CPA/CMA preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5–7 years in accounting, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong understanding of IFRS, VAT, and UAE corporate tax regulations.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Zoho a plus) and Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with internal teams and external auditors.
