Accounts Payable Specialist Full Time
Position Description
Valiant is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to comply and maintain accounts payable records by performing the below duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- End to end process of receiving, reviewing, coding, and processing vendor invoices through a workflow system including peer reviewing and posting of vouchers to the ERP system in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
- Analyzing invoicing issues, process delays, and working on resolutions.
- Answers external and internal inquiries effectively and efficiently.
- Analysis of vendor accounts, establishing rapport with vendors.
- Assist in preparation of payment reports, tracking urgent payments and payment recording.
- Interface with Procurement and Program teams to proactively address invoicing issues and drive continuous improvements and initiatives.
- Assist month-end closing, creating AP reports and schedule, account reconciliation, and assisting internal and external audit requirements.
- Other adhoc task and special projects as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Management or equivalent.
- Experience in Costpoint and Onbase systems a plus.
- Effective communication skills and customer service approach. Can work effectively with vendors and internal associates in resolving issues and drive continuous improvements/initiatives.
- Action-oriented, solution driven and able to work effectively on remote team environment
- Highly accurate and detail oriented.
- Proficient in MS office applications, advance knowledge in excel an advantage
- Successfully works independently with less supervision and can adapt to change
- Ability to identify processing issues, interpret data, and creating resolutions.
- Possess critical thinking and analytical skills
Physical Requirements:
- Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
