Area Logistics Manager Full Time

MISSION:

To improve the efficiency of operating the CMA CGM fleets in EAF, SAF, IOI, Middle East, Red Sea and ISC Regions, so as to operate with the minimum fleet required at minimum cost, at all times.  This is to be achieved through the implementation of various strategies related to:

RESPONSABILITIES:

The scope of activity will include, but not limited to following:

• Ensure equipment availability at needed levels in depot and terminal by analyzing the equipment’s forecast to ensure 100% export requirement has been met with a constant concern of optimization of the container fleet.

• Responsibility to reduce the empty idle time by throughout coordination with Agency Logistics and Ops departments / depot / terminal to keep standard inventory and to minimize terminal and depot empty storage

• Monitor and propose for the vessel back loading including targeted idle, Projected volume and damaged units

• Forecasting of container supply and demand requirements with in min cost to the line

• Regular Interaction with HQ / RO Operation / RO Cargo flow managers to maximize MTY load/discharge on each vessel

• Manage local logistics costs Optimization / Imbalance optimization

• Creates and develop cost saving initiatives and analyzes cost trends.

• Monitor and report the Agility actions

• Ensure to use all available system tools with in CMA CGM Group

• Inland empty repositioning monitor, analyses and approval

• SIPA approval for third party loading vsls & Inland Empty trucking

• To formulate business requirements and enhance procedures/system features and co-ordinate within the region.

• Set and implement strategic policy aims at maintaining and enhancing the performance in the whole equipment flow. Not only from the perspective in the logistics point of view, but also should be capable to stand on behalf of the whole commercial benefits

• Monitor the compliance of the required logistics procedures and system updating

• Equipment Evacuation planning as per HQ guidelines

• Provide recommendations to management for service enhancement by setting up evaluation parameters

• Spot Empty rate reduction from 3PF

• Reviewing all local expenditure related to Logistics costs and tariffs in order to bring about cost reduction

• Establishes and monitors container equipment dwell-times to cover all stock status codes on-land

• To communicate within the region and make certain the regional requirements are in line with the company’s strategy;

• Forces’ on strategic projects on empty evacuation plaining for cost saving and actions on repositioning or storage cost reduction.

• Provide immediate problem solution for Agencies and HQ by identifying the solution with very cost-effective way

• Ensure proper L logistics reporting and KPI’s compliances from Local agency offices

• Ensures that local agencies are properly and timely reporting the Logistics expenses under form 9

• Provides Weekly / monthly Equipment and Cost reports, data and key highlights to HO & RO Manager
• Performance analyze monthly / quarter wise and yearly for each agency

REQUIREMENTS:

You have a postgraduate degree (4/ 5 years) in International Trade, Logistics or Transport; you speak English fluently and have good command of Office tools

You have at least 5-7 years experience in Logistics, operational- or flow management.

Working in close relationship with all stakeholders in the transport and container storage chain, your interpersonal and communication skills and your team spirit will help you in the performance of your mission.
