Assistant Accountant Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Financial record-keeping: Accurately recording and updating all business transactions, handling accounts payable and receivable, and maintaining a comprehensive filing system.
• Data entry and verification: Posting financial details to ledgers and subsidiary books, verifying source documents like invoices and receipts, and updating financial databases.
• Reconciliation: Reconciling bank statements and other accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
• Payment and deposits: Preparing bank deposits and issuing checks.
• Audit and reporting assistance: Providing assistance with internal and external audits and generating ad-hoc reports as needed.
• Support for senior staff:Aiding accountants with various projects, including reviewing payroll and expenses.

Communications & Working Relationships:

• Works closely with the accountant.
• Communicates professionally with colleagues and Management while keeping a productive working environment.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 2+ years of accounting experience or same role.
• Strong financial analysis skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and stress management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
