Assistant Restaurant Manager Full Time

Position Summary:

The Abu Dhabi EDITION is seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support in leading restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of service, guest satisfaction, and team performance. This role involves managing daily operations, overseeing staff, and maintaining a welcoming and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and ensure teamwork among staff to deliver excellent service and fulfill guest needs.
• Conduct inspections of staff grooming and attire; address and resolve any deficiencies.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including preparation of supplies, cleaning equipment, and securing the premises.
• Maintain organized and clean storage areas; ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practice.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and requisition necessary stock and supplies.
• Monitor dining room for guest seating, service standards, and overall safety and comfort.
• Submit maintenance requests for equipment and facility repairs as needed.

Staff Management:

• Assist with hiring, training, and scheduling of team members.
• Conduct staff evaluations and provide counseling, motivation, and discipline as necessary.
• Serve as a first point of contact for employee concerns, following the Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
• Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and adherence to company policies and standards.

Guest Service Excellence:

• Welcome guests with warmth and professionalism; anticipate and attend to their needs.
• Communicate effectively and courteously with guests and team members.
• Support individuals with disabilities to ensure accessibility and comfort.
• Consistently uphold service quality and identify ways to improve efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a related role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality service.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods or entire shifts.
• Capable of moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to 50 pounds.
• Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for handling various tasks.
• Comfortable navigating stairs, ramps, and confined spaces.
