Assistant Restaurant Manager Full Time

Job Overview:
Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah is looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to oversee and coordinate daily operations in our dining venues. The successful candidate will ensure that the team provides excellent service, the restaurant is well-maintained, and guests enjoy a top-tier dining experience. You will assist in hiring, training, and motivating staff and work closely with management to maintain service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure team collaboration to meet guest needs and deliver optimal service.
• Inspect staff grooming and attire; address any discrepancies.
• Perform opening and closing duties (e.g., preparing supplies, cleaning, and locking doors).
• Organize storage areas, maintain cleanliness, and ensure FIFO (first in, first out) stock management.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, guest safety, and overall guest satisfaction.
• Complete and manage inventories, stock requisitions, and equipment maintenance.
• Assist in staff hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and coaching.
• Adhere to and enforce company safety and security policies.
• Maintain professional appearance, protect confidential information, and uphold company assets.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide assistance as needed.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with guests and team members.
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and operational standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: At least 2 years in a food and beverage or restaurant management role.
• Supervisory Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory capacity.

Skills:

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage a team and resolve conflicts effectively.
• Knowledge of safety and food hygiene standards.
• Excellent guest service and interpersonal abilities.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to bend, twist, and maneuver in tight spaces, and move up and down stairs and ramps.
