Assistant Sales Manager Full Time

Job Overview:
The Assistant Sales Manager at Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites will play a key role in driving sales efforts, enhancing guest relationships, and promoting the Marriott brand. The ideal candidate will resolve guest requests, leverage sales techniques to maximize revenue, and perform administrative duties to support the Sales & Marketing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Address guest calls, requests, or issues by contacting relevant departments (Sales, Data Administration, Accounting).
• Utilize sales techniques to maximize revenue while maintaining guest loyalty to Marriott, including up-selling.
• Offer complimentary rewards (e.g., points, show tickets, gift certificates) to guests as a gesture of appreciation.
• Promote brand awareness both internally and externally.
• Process requests related to Marriott Rewards points and assist with reservations, changes, and cancellations via phone, fax, or mail.
• Enter Marriott Rewards details during guest reservations and ensure accurate records.
• Assist in general office tasks like filing, emails, typing, and faxing to support the Sales & Marketing team.
• Help management in training and motivating staff, serving as a role model.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, maintain professionalism, and protect company assets.
• Acknowledge and welcome guests, anticipate their needs, and provide service in a courteous and professional manner.
• Monitor performance standards and ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Perform additional duties as required by Supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales-related role.
• Supervisory Experience: Not required.

Skills:

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with guests and staff.
• Proven ability to up-sell and maximize revenue.
• Proficiency in handling reservation systems and processing guest requests.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills to support office duties.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to visually verify information in different formats.
