AV Technician Full Time

Job Description:

As an AV Technician at Anantara Downtown Dubai, you will play a key role in supporting guests, particularly those attending meetings and conferences, by ensuring that all their audio-visual and IT needs are fully met. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that all AV and IT equipment works efficiently, providing seamless services for guests’ needs. You will maintain an expert understanding of standard IT and AV equipment, including PCs, laser projectors, audio speakers, TVs, DVD players, CD-ROM players, and more. Additionally, you will be expected to have a strong grasp of hardware, operating systems, and application software to ensure smooth technical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guest Support: Assist guests, particularly those organizing meetings and conferences, with their audio-visual and IT requirements, ensuring equipment functionality and a smooth user experience.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain a full knowledge of the IT equipment in use, including projectors, audio systems, TVs, and more, to ensure that they are working to guests’ satisfaction.
• Troubleshooting: Provide timely troubleshooting and resolution of any technical issues with AV and IT equipment.
• Coordination with Events: Work closely with event planners and guests to ensure all AV equipment needs are met for meetings and conferences.
• Technical Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest AV and IT equipment, operating systems, and software tools available to provide the best support.

Qualifications:

• Education: Technical or vocational training in Audio-Visual technology or a related field.
• Experience: At least one year of experience in a hotel engineering department or a similar role within hospitality.
• Skills:
  • Good knowledge of both IT and Audio-Visual systems.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and other departments.
