Cashier Full Time

Job Purpose

The Cashier will be responsible for handling and managing petty cash, cash advances, supplier payments, and financial reconciliations. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and financial reporting skills to ensure smooth financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Cash Management & Petty Cash Handling

• Maintain and manage assigned petty cash float.
• Verify petty cash claims against supporting documents and process reimbursements accordingly.
• Monitor and follow up on cash advances, ensuring proper documentation.
• Perform weekly reconciliation of physical cash balance with the Excel tracker.

Financial Transactions & Reporting

• Prepare bank transfer vouchers in ERP for supplier payments, advance payments, and petty cash.
• Issue and manage payment checks.
• Reconcile and post company credit card transactions.
• Arrange deposits of received checks and cash into company bank accounts.
• Post financial entries in ERP on a timely basis.

Administrative & Clerical Support

• Assist with ad hoc financial and administrative tasks as needed.
• Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a finance or cash-handling role, preferably in the process industry.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Access.
• Experience working with ERP financial systems.

Soft Skills:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A team player with excellent communication skills.
• Self-driven with the ability to work independently.
