Civil Engineering Full Time

The Department of Civil Engineering (CVE) in the College of Engineering at American University of Sharjah (AUS) invites applications for visiting faculty position at the assistant, associate or full professor level commencing in Spring 2025. The visiting faculty positions are primarily focused on teaching. The visiting position is a one-semester renewable contract.

The applicant is required to have a PhD in Civil Engineering/Construction Engineering/Construction Management, or a closely related field, and show evidence of a significant teaching portfolio. Excellence in teaching and research, in addition to experience in the American model of higher education, are highly desirable.

The Department of Civil Engineering has approximately 140 undergraduate students, 60 graduate students, 16 full-time faculty and 2 lab instructors. Students and faculty represent very diverse backgrounds and nationalities; approximately 90 nationalities are present on campus. The department offers a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Digital Construction Engineering and Management, a Master of Science in Civil Engineering, and a Master of Science in Construction Management.
