Commis I Full Time

About the role

The Commis I assists Chef’s in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen and to help maintain a high Standard of food preparation.

What you will do

Main Duties/Description:
1.    Assists the Chef de Partie/Demi Chef de Partie to establish standard recipes and ensure the compliance with them.
2.    Participates in product development and in controlling the smooth operation of the kitchen.
3.    Have a good knowledge of cuisines to carry out the duties and responsibilities for the position in an efficient and productive manner.
4.    Demonstrates and maintains professional behavior and positive attitude at all times.

5.    Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the Restaurant Chef or Sous Chef.

What you bring
•    A minimum of at least 1 year of experience in the similar role in a luxury brand

•    An outgoing personality and a can-do approach to an assigned task

•    High level of understanding and knowledge of food and/or wine

•    Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing)

•    Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
