Prepare special meals or substitute products. Adjust oven, broiler, and grill temperatures. Remove food from freezer to thaw in refrigerator. Ensure proper portioning, timing, and seasoning of food. Maintain food records. Monitor quality and quantity of food being prepared. Communicate any assistance needed during busy periods. Report excess food products to the kitchen manager for use in daily specials. Report rejected products and special menu items available to Food and Beverage service personnel. Ensure quality of food products. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist. Prepare cold dishes. Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as an example. Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to manager; and complete safety training and obtain safety certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company property. Anticipate and respond to guest service needs. Speak with others using clear, professional language. Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team in achieving common goals; listen and respond appropriately to concerns of other employees. Ensure quality expectations and standards are met. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, twisting, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 25 pounds or less without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
Education: Degree issued by a technical, trade or vocational school.
Related work experience: At least 3 years of related work experience.
Supervisory experience: Supervisory experience is not required.
