Job Overview

Diamond Meat Processing LLC (DMP) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in monitoring and controlling costs, analyzing financial data, and contributing to decision-making processes to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Cost Analysis: Develop, analyze, and report cost data to support decision-making processes.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and evaluate inventory levels, perform periodic reconciliations, and ensure accurate valuation.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts based on cost trends and operational requirements.
• Manufacturing Cost Monitoring: Review production costs, identify variances, and provide insights to minimize expenses and improve profitability.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed cost reports and summaries for management review.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance cost efficiency and reduce waste within the production cycle.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant financial regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting within the manufacturing sector.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
