Electrician – Multiskilled Full Time

Position Summary:

As a Multiskilled Electrician at La Ville Hotel & Suites, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for our guests and staff by performing maintenance and repairs. This includes attending to guest repair requests, conducting preventive maintenance on equipment, and addressing a variety of electrical, mechanical, and general building maintenance needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to guest repair requests and communicate effectively to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen/mechanical equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspection.
• Carry and maintain equipment, ensuring efficient access and handling of tools, radios, and other devices.
• Manage shut-off valves and utility cut-offs for building equipment, ensuring quick response in case of emergencies.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition necessary parts, and communicate daily activities and issues across shifts.
• Demonstrate knowledge or willingness to learn in areas such as A/C and refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building repairs.
• Perform surface preparation, minor painting, drywall repairs, and cleanup of work areas.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting and repairs on various equipment, including lighting, plumbing, electrical outlets, internet devices, and other guestroom items.
• Use the Lockout/Tagout system to safely conduct maintenance work.
• Assist with landscaping maintenance, including exterior and sprinkler system repairs.
• Input and manage air handler schedules and make temperature adjustments using basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds independently; heavier lifting requires assistance.
• Comfort with using ladders, stairs, and service ramps, including tasks that require reaching, bending, twisting, and stooping.
• Capable of using computers for maintenance-related information entry.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Experience: General maintenance experience, including painting, surface prep, and basic mechanical work. Prior experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.
• Required License/Certification: Driver’s License.
