Finance Officer Full Time

Purpose

The role is centred on delivering financial reporting, compliance, and business partnering support at Etihad Airways, playing a pivotal part in ensuring compliance and managing penalty exposure risks. Additionally, it involves identifying process improvement opportunities across financial operations, including AP, direct operating cost

Accountabilities

• Ensure all invoice queries are resolved, engaging with the wider business and suppliers as required
• Working with business members to ensure all invoices/credit notes are valid and authorised for payment
• Monitor and share financial performance against accrual for direct operating cost
• Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying transactions to relevant account codes and allocating to cost centres / project codes where applicable
• Ensure that reimbursements are in line with the policies and procedures applicable to the type of expenditure
• Provides advice to clients regarding procedures relating to accounts payable, wire transfers and travel claims
• Act as the subject matter expert on the specific invoice area and recommend process improvement and change targeted to creating efficiency
• Support the development of financial and operational KPIs
• Participate in projects aimed at enhancing business processes and efficiencies
• Participate in meetings and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels
• Support timely delivery of ad-hoc reporting/MIS types requests
• Liaise with Treasury on day-to-day basis for fund management
• Review and approve Supplier statement reconciliation

Education & Experience

• Finance related Degree as a minimum / Finance qualification preferable
• Minimum of 2+ Years of related experience required
• Working experience in ERP (SAP/ Oracle)
