Financial Data Analyst Full Time

As a Financial Data Analyst, you will combine knowledge of programme languages with a proven capability to collect, clean, process, and analyse data to help the organisation make informed decisions. You will need to be comfortable interacting with multiple stakeholders and assisting in the education of the best automation solutions. You will be part of the Group Finance Transformation team and will be involved in projects that help optimise financial operations, improve efficiency, and drive change initiatives.




In this role, you will:

• • • Provide analytical, reporting, and project support;
    • Collect, clean, and analyse large datasets to identify patterns and trends;
    • Use SQL and Python for querying and automating data analysis processes to improve efficiency and
    • accuracy;
    • Generate reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights for the Finance Department;
    • Help identify opportunities for automation across the Department;
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline Financial reporting processes;
    • Ensure data accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and company policies;
    • Lead project steps within a broader project and have accountability for ongoing activities and
    • objectives;
    • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in financial data analysis and automation;
    • Perform ad-hoc analysis as required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field

Experience

• • 2 – 5 years work experience;
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for data processing;
  • Familiarity with machine learning and predictive analytics

Knowledge

• • Knowledge of accounting and finance principles;
  • Knowledge of data visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)

Skills

• • Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and automation;
  • Skills in RPA (Robotic Process Automation) is desirable;
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data;
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills;
  • Experience with Excel for advanced data processing;
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities;
  • Ability to communicate insights and findings to a non-technical audience;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
