General Accountant Full Time

Job Description:

IH Productions is seeking a General Accountant with expertise in accounting and finance to join their team in the UAE. The candidate will be responsible for handling financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and providing financial insights to support business decisions. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with IFRS and UAE GAAP.
• Handle VAT filing and ensure compliance with UAE tax laws.
• Utilize accounting software (e.g., ZOHO Accounts) and advanced Excel functions for accurate financial record-keeping.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis and provide recommendations to improve financial processes.
• Monitor cash flow, assist in budgeting, and contribute to financial planning.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing relevant documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial queries and provide support.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and maintain organized financial records.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CA will be an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the UAE or GCC region.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ZOHO Accounts) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards, including IFRS and UAE GAAP.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
