Health, Safety and Compliance Manager Full Time

The Health, Safety and Compliance Manager at the Swiss International Scientific School in Dubai (SISD) will oversee the implementation, monitoring, and enforcement of health, safety, and environmental policies across the school. This position is critical for ensuring compliance with local and international safety regulations while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and awareness throughout the school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards.
• Monitor compliance with local UAE regulations and international safety guidelines.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections across all areas of the school.
• Investigate incidents, report findings, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Provide training and guidance to staff, students, and contractors on health and safety standards and emergency procedures.
• Liaise with external agencies and authorities to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Promote a culture of safety and compliance through communication, education, and proactive initiatives.
• Maintain records of safety incidents, compliance certifications, and training activities.
• Collaborate with school leaders to integrate safety protocols into daily operations and long-term planning.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in health, safety, and compliance management, preferably in an educational or similar environment.
• Certification in health and safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA).
• Strong knowledge of UAE health and safety regulations and international safety standards.
• Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and safety audits.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in report writing, data analysis, and presentation skills.
