Junior Sous Chef Full Time

As a Junior Sous Chef at Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi, you will play a key role in supervising an assigned station/section of the kitchen, ensuring the preparation of high-quality dishes in accordance with Hyatt International’s brand standards and corporate strategies. You will work closely with the culinary team to deliver exceptional service, aligning with the outlet’s operational concept and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of your assigned kitchen section, ensuring that all dishes are prepared consistently to high standards.
• Support the efficient running of the kitchen in alignment with Hyatt’s corporate strategies and brand standards.
• Ensure courteous, professional, and efficient service that meets guest expectations.
• Assist in managing kitchen staff, providing guidance and supervision to maintain quality and standards.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations, especially during high-demand periods.
• Implement and maintain kitchen hygiene practices and Occupational Health and Safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and kitchen sanitation procedures.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of work experience as a Junior Sous Chef or 3-4 years as a Chef de Partie in a hotel or large restaurant with good standards. Preferably with experience in luxury international brands.
• Education: Bachelor’s/Diploma in Hotel Management with a focus on Kitchen Production or Management is an advantage.
• Skills:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and Occupational Health and Safety standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Recipe Maintenance Systems is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
