Lead Engineer Full Time

Job Overview:

Wood is currently hiring a Lead Engineer – Pipeline Integrity to join our Digital Consulting – Intelligent Assets business in Abu Dhabi. This role requires expertise in pipeline integrity management, cathodic protection, and engineering project management to support high-profile energy sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide discipline expertise in pipeline integrity management, risk-based inspection, and asset life extension.
• Lead pipeline integrity assessments using industry standards (API 579, BS7910, ASME B31G, etc.).
• Oversee Cathodic Protection studies for pipelines, AC mitigation, and corrosion assessments.
• Develop and implement Pipeline Integrity Management Systems (PIMS).
• Manage technical scopes, integrity reports, and engineering assessments for pipeline repairs.
• Supervise and mentor the pipeline integrity team while ensuring compliance with project objectives.
• Drive innovation and technical advancements in integrity management.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 15+ years of experience in onshore/offshore oil & gas pipeline integrity.
• Degree in Engineering/Metallurgy (Master’s preferred).
• Professional accreditation (Chartered Engineer, PE, or equivalent preferred).
• Expertise in pipeline integrity software and engineering assessments.
• Level 4 Cathodic Protection Certification preferred.
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
