Use appropriate rescue techniques if swimmers are observed in need of assistance. Monitor the swimming area for hazardous conditions, unusual or unsafe activities, and swimmers experiencing difficulties. Promote the rules and regulations of the recreational facility. Identify situations where guests cannot safely participate in an activity and inform a supervisor/manager. Provide assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive. Promote a happy and comfortable environment for guests. Take, fold, and stack towels according to company procedures. Wash, scrub, and clean the poolside area. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager; receive safety training and obtain appropriate certifications.
Comply with all company safety policies and procedures; report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents or injuries; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional. Maintain privacy of company-owned information; protect company property. Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect. Support team in achieving common goals. Meet quality assurance expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than 50 pounds (22.50 Kg) or equivalent without assistance. Assist in moving, lifting, carrying and placing objects weighing more than 75 pounds (33.75 Kg). Stand, sit or walk for extended periods or for the entire work shift. Move at a speed required to respond to work situations (e.g., running, walking, jogging). Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (for example, to identify defects). Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of various sizes and weights, which requires fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting at the waist, pulling, and stooping. Move across inclined, uneven, or slippery surfaces and steps. Climb and descend ladders. Climb and descend stairs and/or service ramps. Greet and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards. Speak to others using clear, professional language; answer telephone calls using appropriate etiquette. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent certificate from a college program General Educational Development (GED).
