Mechanical Engineer Full Time

As a Mechanical Engineer at Siemens Energy, your day will focus on conducting finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal design for components operating in the hot gas flow path of turbomachinery in the Oil and Gas industry. You will collaborate with various departments to execute co-creation projects, ensuring that your analyses contribute to the development of innovative and competitive solutions. Your role will be pivotal in driving the energy transition while fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Perform static and transient FEA of static and rotating components using software like ANSYS and NX-CAE.
• Conduct heat transfer design and analysis, applying relevant assumptions and interpreting results.
• Prepare and document structural integrity design reports based on FEA calculations.
• Actively contribute to project teams focused on technology and product development.
• Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team and across departments.
• Communicate effectively with multiple functional groups to ensure project alignment and success.

What You Bring

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master/Diploma preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in FEA and heat transfer analysis.
• Proficiency in FEA tools like ANSYS and a solid understanding of mechanical integrity principles.
• Experience in turbomachinery aerodynamics and manufacturing aspects of stationary and rotary hardware.
• Proven track record of collaborative projects and a strong focus on achieving results.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and fluency in English for effective communication.
