Medical Transcriptionist Full Time

Performing document typing and formatting functions according to an established format. Transcribe and interpret the dictation into diagnostic test results, operative reports, referral letters, other documents and assisting designated department for administrative work.

• Interpret and transcribe a variety of medical reports and correspondence regarding patients’ assessment, workup, therapeutic procedures, clinical course, diagnoses, prognosis, etc., in order to document and facilitate the delivery of healthcare.
• Operate and utilize designated word processing, dictation, and transcription equipment as directed to complete assignments.
• Meet the required efficiency set by the doctors/department.
• Provide quality transcription by using proper resources and proofreading own work.
• Ensure the confidentiality of the contents of the reports transcribed.
• Exhibit excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills, including English usage, grammar, punctuation, and style.
• Assist and coordinate department administrative work.
• Work under pressure with time constraints.
• Follow department’s/doctors’ formats in preparing reports.
• Understand diverse accents and varying dictation styles.
• Maintain good eye, hand, and auditory coordination.
• Comply with all OSH and infection control policies, standards, and procedures and cooperate with hospital management to meet those requirements.
• Work in accordance with documented OSH procedures and instructions.
• Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures.
• Notify OSH hazards, incidents, near misses, and issues, and assist with the preparation of risk assessments and incident reports.
• Comply with waste management procedures and policies.
• Attend applicable OSH/Infection control training programs, mock drills, and awareness programs.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems.

• High School Level or its equivalent
  Qualification: Graduate
  Experience: At least 2 years as Medical Transcriptionist.
  Skill set: Ability to transcribe medical/audio files with 100% quality.
  Excellent command of oral and written English; Arabic desirable but not mandatory.
