Job Purpose
The Pastry Commis is responsible for assisting in the preparation of high-quality pastry items while maintaining strict hygiene, quality, and presentation standards under close supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Pastry Preparation & Service
Ensure all necessary ingredients and materials are stocked at the beginning of each shift.
Follow specified recipes, portion control guidelines, and HACCP standards for food preparation.
Distribute prepared pastry items to designated outlets as required.
Hygiene & Safety Compliance
Maintain workstation cleanliness by cleaning fridges, shelves, and counters throughout shifts.
Properly label all items with production and expiry dates, ensuring quality control.
Adhere to fire safety, food safety, and general security procedures, reporting any incidents to management.
Inventory & Stock Management
Assist in the stocking and receiving of goods.
Monitor product shelf life and report any wastage.
Communication & Adaptability
Maintain product knowledge to answer inquiries effectively.
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
High school degree required.
0-1 years of experience in F&B Operations or a similar role.
Language & Technical Skills
Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
