JOB PURPOSE

Monitor the data in a continuous effort to ensure compliance, completeness and provide governance on information created during the progressive stages of the EPC Stage of the project through to handover to Operations. Effective monitoring and governance will help to ensure accuracy, relevance and timeliness for the digital asset handover and delivery providing a focus for Project Information Management on Technical and Non-technical information.

The Sr. Project Information Management Engineer will serve as focal point for all CONTRACTORS’ engineering disciplines and assume responsibility for resolving SmartPlant issues across all EPC Contractors.

The Sr. Project Information Management Engineer will ensure engineering data created by the EPC meets the projects specification with an emphasis on quality, consistency and completeness.The Sr. Project Information Management Engineer monitors data created entered by EPC for compliancy, consistency, accuracy and globally entered in the integrated environment.

Supports the EPC in creation of appropriate Project Information Management strategy and plans covering systems’ implementation, application in engineering design, supplier and Client information both within the individual project packages and across project interfaces, etc. to ensure consistent systems’ implementation.

EPC information co-ordination and interface including non-engineering data. Manage queries with Core Team, data delivery and data exchange, knowledgeable of Hexagon tools, audits for compliance and governance.

Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate and be the focal point for all SmartPlant data management queries from EPC Contractor.
• Collaboratively work with EPC to ensure successful delivery and handover of digital data and information asset from EPCs.
• Understand the client and internal project requirements for data collection, conditioning, reporting and handover.
• Liaise with EPC engineering and suppliers to ensure completion and compliance of data submission.
• Liaise with project Technical Authority, engineering and suppliers to ensure completion and compliance of data submission.
• Interface with IPMT Project Disciplines to ensure active exchange of best practice and alignment of Project Information Management processes and systems.
• Manage the day-to-day data management and collection queries raised by EPC.
• Provide the IPMT Project Information Coordinator and Project team with regular reports on completeness of SmartPlant integrated environment.
• Coordinate and manage tag register exports from SPF for loading into SPIR system.
• Participate in SmartPlant application audits, assist in compiling of audit findings report, track EPC completion of non-compliances and corrective actions.
• EPC interface with for queries with core team. Understanding data delivery Knowledge of Hexagon System set up & Integration. Audit Contractor.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• Lifecycle and Project Information Management and Data Management experiences, specifically in Oil & Gas, preferably within large engineering contractor organisations.
• An understanding of electronic database tools to analyse, manipulate and transfer data.
• Experienced in Information Management Systems, Engineering work processes, Project Management or related field.
• Knowledge of International Data Standards such as CFIHOS and ISO 8000/9000 standards.
• Solid hands-on knowledge of engineering data warehousing, reporting and analytical tools an advantage.
• Expert-level understanding of Oil and Gas Project information and document management processes.
• Knowledge of typical Hexagon authoring tools (i.e. SPPID; SPEL, SPI, S3D, SPF, MicroStation).
