Job Purpose
The MEP Site Engineer– HVAC and Fire Alarm & Protection is responsible for organizing, supervising, executing, monitoring and controlling the HVAC and Fire Alarm & Protection works installation activities under MEP works in Residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
Job Responsibilities
- Review the approved construction drawings and ensure the required approvals and documentations for the site installation works are available at site.
- Derive schedule of HVAC and Fire Alarm & Protection works packages from the overall MEP Project schedules and prepare for the site works execution.
- Plan site resource and materials requirement and coordinate for the delivery of materials and other resources in line with schedules.
- Manage the team of Supervisors, Foreman and Charge Hands for the works execution in line with the approved schedules.
- Set targets, monitor and control the site HVAC and Fire Alarm & Protection works and ensure that the works are carried out within the budgeted quantity of materials, plant & equipment and labor.
- Manage the site resources, execution, progress and productivity of HVAC and Fire Alarm & Protection works.
- Assess the materials requirement at site and compare the same with the bill of materials provided.
- Coordinate with subcontractors for the HVAC and Fire Alarm & Protection installations and with other subcontractors for the interface works.
- Coordination with client and authorities engineers for site works execution.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3 year experience
Or
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 5 year experience
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in MEP projects HVAC and Fire Alarm & Protection works installation works for residential and commercial towers and industrial buildings.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in MEP projects HVAC and Fire Alarm & Protection installation works in UAE or any other GCC countries.
- ESCO industry experience preferred.
