Job Description:
We are looking for a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations, oversee the preparation of high-quality dishes, and help manage the kitchen team. You will play a key role in ensuring that food is prepared to the highest standards and that all kitchen tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in the daily operation of the kitchen.
Supervise kitchen staff and ensure proper training and development.
Prepare and cook food in accordance with recipes and standards.
Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times.
Manage inventory, including ordering and organizing ingredients.
Ensure dishes are prepared and presented according to restaurant standards.
Monitor food quality, portion control, and wastage.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to create new menu items.
Handle customer feedback and resolve any kitchen-related issues.
Ensure the kitchen operates in a clean, safe, and efficient manner.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation, and presentation.
Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Culinary school diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
