Sous Chef – Events Full Time

Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our Banquets department. In this role, you will assist in overseeing the kitchen operations for our events and banquets, ensuring that they run efficiently and meet the highest standards of quality. You will work closely with the Chef de Cuisine to manage the kitchen as a successful independent profit center, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction through effective planning, organizing, directing, and controlling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Chef de Cuisine in managing the kitchen operations for events and banquets, ensuring they are aligned with Hyatt International’s corporate strategies and brand standards.
• Oversee the preparation and presentation of food, ensuring consistency and high quality.
• Plan, organize, and control the kitchen operations, including inventory management, menu planning, and cost control.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to hygiene practices and safety standards.
• Collaborate with the events and banquets teams to create memorable culinary experiences for guests.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • Strong background in managing high-volume banquet functions within luxurious establishments.
• Skills & Knowledge:
  • Ability to manage a kitchen operation independently, focusing on maximizing guest satisfaction.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Additional Requirements:
  • Candidates should already be based in the UAE.
