Provide subject matter expertise, supervise, and monitor the project’s HSE performance; communicate HSE requirements and advise on health, safety and environmental protection for the design, engineering and construction phases of projects to ensure alignment with ADNOC HSE policies, processes, procedures to meet the Division’s objectives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
HSE Support and Monitoring
• Liaise with the HSE Division and Site’s project teams to ensure the Projects compliance with the HSE requirements.
• Monitor the project HSE performance by collecting relevant performance information. Prepare periodic reports to facilitate decision-making.
• Participate in Level 1 and 2 HSE Audits and relevant HSE studies. Follow-up for the timely implementation of recommendations and effective closure of findings.
• Carryout the contractor’s performance evaluation in collaboration with key stakeholders in conformity with the set HSE standards.
• Attend the project kick-off meetings, progress and design review meetings. Provide HSE matters advice.
• Review the project’s HSE plans including areas of enhancement in order to ensure compliance with the HSE requirements.
• Audit, on a periodic basis, and ensure compliance of the Contractor’s facilities (offices, camps, work site) for the initial mobilization.
• Contribute in the project’s workforce welfare, in coordination with the HSE Division, in line with ADNOC guidelines and procedures.
• Participate in HSE Campaigns in order to ensure the HSE awareness and continuous communication of new guidelines and standards.
• Carryout HSE incidents investigations in collaboration with key stakeholders. Follow-up the timely and effective implementation of the set recommendations.
• Follow-up and coordinate HSE workshops and studies recommendations for the efficient and effective implementation.
• Coordinate the Leadership site visits in collaboration with the HSE Division and the Site’s HSE teams.
• Initiate HSE improvements for managing the projects with minimal HSE impacts.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Bachelor Degree in HSE Engineering or Safety Engineering.
• 8 years of experience in coordination and support of health, safety and environment activities, rules and procedures within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
• Experience in developing environmental procedures and programs.
• Knowledge of HSE management systems, programs and procedures.
• Knowledge on ADNOC HSE standards and specifications.
• Understanding of Oil and Gas operations and HSE regulations.
• Experience in HSE investigations and root cause analysis.
• Experience in technical reports writing.
• Experience in the relevant IT systems and applications.
• Planning, organising, scheduling, co-ordinating, checking, examining, and recording.
