Job Summary:
Marriott International is seeking a detail-oriented Store Assistant – Receiving to join the Finance team in Dubai. The role is responsible for managing the receiving and storage of goods, verifying shipments, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards. This position plays a critical role in supporting daily operations by ensuring the accurate and timely receipt of goods required for hotel operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
Ensure all received goods match purchase orders and report discrepancies to the Finance department.
Properly store and organize inventory items following hotel storage guidelines.
Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock levels in the system.
Coordinate with suppliers, procurement, and relevant departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards in the receiving and storage areas.
Assist in periodic stock audits and inventory checks.
Process invoices and delivery notes, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with financial policies.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role within the hospitality or retail industry.
Strong understanding of inventory management, stock control, and procurement processes.
Basic knowledge of finance and accounting procedures related to receiving and invoicing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and inventory management software.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
