Structural Design Engineer Full Time

Job Description

We are seeking a talented and innovative Structural Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing structural designs for a wide range of projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and innovation in our engineering solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute structural designs for various projects, including commercial, residential, and mixed-use structures
• Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and safety of designs
• Utilize advanced structural analysis and design software to optimize project outcomes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs with architectural and MEP systems
• Ensure compliance with local UAE building codes, international standards, and best practices
• Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and construction documents
• Conduct site visits to assess existing structures and monitor construction progress
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable design practices
• Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred)
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent
• Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on complex projects
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro)
• Expertise in UAE and international building codes and standards
• Advanced mathematical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent technical writing and communication abilities
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling software
• Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software
• Knowledge of seismic design and analysis
• Familiarity with sustainable design practices and green building standards
