Technical Designer Full Time

Gensler is seeking a Technical Designer specializing in workplace projects to join their Dubai office. The role involves combining creativity and technical knowledge to focus on project delivery and understanding client needs. The Technical Designer will collaborate with a team to develop design solutions, produce technical documentation, and ensure the successful execution of workplace projects.​

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Development:

  • Collaborate with design teams to develop innovative and functional workplace design solutions.​

  • Translate conceptual ideas into detailed designs that align with client objectives and project requirements.​

• Technical Documentation:

  • Prepare comprehensive technical drawings and specifications for construction and permit approvals.​

  • Ensure all documentation complies with local codes, regulations, and industry standards.​

• Project Coordination:

  • Work closely with project managers, consultants, and contractors to coordinate design implementation.​

  • Participate in site visits and construction administration to address technical issues and ensure design intent is realized.​

• Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct reviews of technical drawings and documents to maintain high-quality standards.​

  • Identify and resolve design challenges promptly to prevent project delays.​

• Client Interaction:

  • Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide design solutions that meet their expectations.​

  • Present design concepts and technical details to clients and stakeholders effectively.​

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.​

• Experience: Relevant experience in technical design, particularly in workplace projects.​

• Skills:

  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools.​

  • Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and materials.​

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.​

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
