Technician – MEP Full Time

The purpose of the Technician – MEP role is to provide support to the MEP Manager/Lead in carrying out physical rectification works, emergency response, MEP defect resolution, and planned preventative maintenance. The successful candidate will troubleshoot and repair MEP systems and equipment, ensuring they are operating efficiently and safely. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and adherence to health and safety regulations.




Operational Responsibilities

• Assist the MEP Manager/Lead in carrying out physical rectification works using the provided in-house tools so that in-house DLP issues are promptly addressed, improving the overall quality of the project.2. Transport tools and skilled labor to emergency sites so that response times are quick, minimizing downtime and ensuring that urgent issues are resolved efficiently.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance for the AMC department so that the MEP Manager/Lead has sufficient information to generate reports, helping maintain equipment reliability and extending its lifespan.
• Monitor and maintain the work van inventory of parts and equipment so that the materials for rectification are sufficiently stocked, guaranteeing that the team is always prepared with the necessary resources to address issues promptly.
• Communicate and provide feedback on defects, causes, rectification solutions, and prevention measures to the MEP Manager/Lead so that site observations are documented, facilitating continuous improvement and preventing the recurrence of issues.
• Collaborate with electricians, plumbers, and contractors so that complex or interconnected issues are effectively resolved, ensuring that all aspects of a problem are addressed and preventing future complications.
• Review rectification works carried out so that all completed works comply with building codes, local regulations, and safety standards, ensuring that the work meets required standards and reducing the risk of future liabilities.
• Procure locally sourced spare parts when required so that quick turnaround rectification can occur, reducing delays and ensuring that repairs are completed swiftly.
• Prepare AMC reports so that essential documentation is provided for tracking maintenance activities, aiding in decision-making and future planning.

Person Specification: Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

Essential (must Have To Perform The Role)

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair MEP systems and equipment.
• Demonstrated communication skills.
• Working knowledge of PPM,AMC
• Working knowledge of MEP systems, equipment, and tools.
• Working ability to use hand and power tools.
• Valid driver’s license.
