Technician Full Time

Position Summary:

As a Technician, you will be responsible for addressing guest repair requests and performing preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment. Your role will involve diagnosing and resolving issues with tools, kitchen, and mechanical room equipment while maintaining inventory and communication with other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room systems, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Inspect tools and equipment and manage utility shut-off valves.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance parts and supplies, and requisition as needed.
• Handle repairs for air conditioning, electrical systems, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, drywall, and wood trim repair, light bulb replacement, and other maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical components, plumbing issues, and guestroom appliances.
• Program televisions and assist with general engineering-related inventory duties.
• Adhere to safety protocols, report hazards, and participate in safety training and certifications.

Physical and Technical Requirements:

• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Perform tasks that require bending, twisting, reaching, and climbing stairs or ladders.
• Use computer systems for work-related information and scheduling.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Experience: General maintenance experience and knowledge of surface preparation, painting, and hotel engineering is preferred.
• License or Certification: Driver’s License required.
