Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and maintained.
• Handle accounts payable (AP) by processing supplier invoices, verifying documentation, and ensuring timely payments.
• Oversee accounts receivable (AR) functions, including invoicing, tracking outstanding balances, and following up on collections.
• Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs and highlighting any potential financial risks.
• Prepare and file VAT returns, ensuring full compliance with UAE VAT regulations and timely submission to the relevant authorities.
• Maintain proper financial documentation and filing systems, ensuring all records are organized and easily accessible for audits and reviews.
• Record journal entries, update ledgers, and ensure all accounting data is accurate and up to date.
• Assist in bank reconciliations, verifying transactions and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Support monthly and year-end closing processes, including preparing reports and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with internal teams such as procurement and project departments to ensure accurate cost tracking and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports as required.
• Monitor project-related expenses and support cost control activities, especially within construction projects.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within a construction or contracting company.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations, including return preparation and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and financial tracking.
• Hands-on experience with Tally accounting software for managing financial records.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify discrepancies and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all accounting activities.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
