Key Responsibilities

Site Safety Management

• Monitor daily construction activities to ensure safe working practices are followed.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Ensure workers comply with approved safety procedures and site regulations.
• Report unsafe conditions and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Monitor housekeeping, access routes, work areas, and emergency exits.
• Follow up on identified safety issues until corrective measures are completed.

Risk Assessment & Hazard Control

• Assist in preparing and reviewing risk assessments and method statements.
• Identify workplace hazards associated with construction activities.
• Recommend suitable control measures to minimize risks.
• Monitor high-risk activities and ensure appropriate safety precautions are implemented.
• Support supervisors and workers in understanding safe work procedures.
• Maintain records of inspections, observations, and corrective actions.

Safety Training & Awareness

• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for workers.
• Assist with employee safety induction programs.
• Promote awareness of workplace hazards and safe working practices.
• Provide guidance on the correct use of PPE and safety equipment.
• Encourage workers to report unsafe conditions and near-miss incidents.
• Support ongoing safety awareness campaigns across construction sites.

PPE & Safety Equipment

• Monitor proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Ensure workers have access to required safety equipment.
• Inspect PPE and safety equipment for proper condition.
• Report damaged or unsuitable safety equipment.
• Ensure safety signage and warning notices are properly displayed.
• Monitor compliance with site-specific PPE requirements.

Incident Reporting & Emergency Preparedness

• Assist in investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Prepare and maintain incident and safety reports.
• Identify root causes and recommend preventive measures.
• Support emergency response and evacuation procedures.
• Ensure emergency equipment and facilities are accessible.
• Participate in emergency drills and safety exercises.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, and training documentation.
• Assist with safety audits and regulatory inspections.
• Ensure site activities comply with company HSE policies and applicable requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, supervisors, and workers regarding safety matters.
• Prepare regular safety performance reports for management.

Education

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
• Relevant safety qualifications will be an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of construction industry experience.
• Minimum 3 years of UAE construction experience.
• Practical experience in construction-site safety management is required.
• Experience conducting inspections, toolbox talks, risk assessments, and incident investigations is preferred.
