Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Assist with day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Record basic financial transactions accurately under appropriate supervision.
• Assist in preparing journal entries, receipts, payment records, and other accounting documents.
• Maintain updated accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Verify basic financial information before entering transactions.
• Assist senior accountants with routine accounting tasks.
• Ensure financial records are organized and easy to retrieve.

Invoices & Financial Records

• Maintain and organize invoices, receipts, bills, and financial records.
• Assist with checking supplier and customer invoices.
• Record invoices and related transactions in accounting systems.
• Ensure supporting documents are properly attached to financial transactions.
• Assist with tracking pending invoices and required approvals.
• Maintain accurate physical and digital filing systems.
• Follow company procedures for financial documentation and record keeping.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) activities.
• Support processing of supplier invoices and payment documentation.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Record customer payments and maintain receivable records.
• Assist with monitoring outstanding balances.
• Support reconciliation of customer and supplier accounts.
• Report discrepancies or missing information to the senior accountant.

Bank & Supplier Reconciliation

• Support regular bank reconciliations.
• Compare accounting records with bank statements and identify differences.
• Assist in recording bank charges, deposits, transfers, and other transactions.
• Support supplier statement reconciliations.
• Investigate basic discrepancies and provide supporting information.
• Maintain reconciliation documents and schedules.

Documentation & Filing

• Maintain proper accounting documentation and filing systems.
• Organize financial records in both physical and digital formats.
• Ensure documents are properly labeled and stored.
• Assist with retrieving financial documents for management or audit purposes.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and business information.
• Follow established accounting procedures and internal controls.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
• Basic knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
