Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting Activities

• Assist with maintaining day-to-day accounting transactions accurately.
• Record sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, payments, and other financial entries.
• Prepare basic journal entries and accounting vouchers.
• Verify invoices, receipts, payment documents, and supporting records.
• Ensure transactions are recorded in the correct accounts.
• Maintain organized accounting files and documentation.
• Support senior accountants with routine financial and administrative activities.

Accounts Payable

• Assist with managing Accounts Payable (AP) transactions.
• Receive and verify supplier invoices and supporting documents.
• Check invoice details, amounts, dates, and payment information.
• Record supplier invoices accurately in the accounting system.
• Maintain supplier account records.
• Assist with supplier statement reconciliation.
• Follow up on pending invoices and payment documentation.
• Support timely processing of approved supplier payments.

Accounts Receivable

• Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Prepare and record customer invoices and receipts.
• Maintain accurate customer account records.
• Monitor outstanding customer balances.
• Assist with payment follow-ups and collection activities.
• Record customer payments accurately.
• Investigate differences between customer balances and accounting records.
• Support preparation of receivables reports and aging schedules.

Bank Reconciliation

• Perform regular bank reconciliation under the guidance of senior finance staff.
• Compare bank statements with accounting system records.
• Identify missing, duplicate, or incorrectly recorded transactions.
• Assist in investigating and resolving reconciliation differences.
• Maintain accurate bank reconciliation schedules.
• Ensure bank transactions are properly recorded and updated.
• Report unresolved discrepancies to the responsible accountant.

Accounting Software & Excel

• Use accounting software to record and retrieve financial information.
• Maintain accurate digital accounting records.
• Generate basic accounting reports when required.
• Use Microsoft Excel for calculations, reconciliations, reports, and financial schedules.
• Maintain spreadsheets accurately and update information regularly.
• Develop practical knowledge of accounting software functions.
• Ensure data entered into accounting systems is accurate and complete.

Financial Records & Reporting

• Assist in preparing monthly accounting reports and financial schedules.
• Support month-end closing activities.
• Maintain general ledger supporting documentation.
• Assist with account reconciliations and balance reviews.
• Organize financial records for internal review and audit purposes.
• Provide accounting information to senior accountants when required.
• Ensure financial documentation is properly filed and easily accessible.

Compliance & Internal Support

• Follow company accounting policies and established procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and business information.
• Ensure transactions are supported by appropriate documentation.
• Assist with internal and external audit requirements.
• Report accounting discrepancies or unusual transactions promptly.
• Support the finance team in maintaining accurate and reliable financial records.
• Perform additional accounting duties assigned by management.

Key Requirements

• 1–2 years of accounting experience.
• Practical experience in general accounting activities.
• Good knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP).
• Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Knowledge of bank reconciliation procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Immediate joiners are preferred.
