KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage daily Accounts Payable (AP) activities, including supplier invoices, payment documentation, and account verification.
• Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, including customer invoicing, receipts, outstanding balances, and collection follow-ups.
• Prepare and process sales invoices, purchase invoices, credit notes, debit notes, and other financial documents.
• Verify invoices and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting procedures.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate differences or unmatched transactions.
• Maintain accurate General Ledger and subsidiary ledger records.
• Record daily financial transactions, including receipts, payments, expenses, journals, and adjustments.
• Monitor customer and supplier balances and assist in resolving accounting discrepancies.
• Support month-end closing activities, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately within the appropriate accounting period.
• Prepare monthly accounting schedules, management reports, and financial summaries.
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules as required.
• Maintain organized digital and physical financial documentation for audit and management review.
• Support external and internal audit requirements by providing accurate financial records and supporting documents.
• Ensure accounting entries and reports comply with applicable company policies and procedures.
• Assist with UAE VAT-related accounting activities, documentation, reconciliations, and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with operations, logistics, procurement, sales, and management teams regarding billing and accounting matters.
• Perform additional accounting and finance duties assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 3+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, shipping, or transportation is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
• Practical experience in invoicing and bank reconciliation.
• Good knowledge of month-end closing and financial reporting procedures.
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting requirements.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data analysis, and reporting.
• Experience using accounting software or ERP systems.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple accounting responsibilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a finance team.
