Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and updated on time.

• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reports, and required documentation.

• Assist in budget preparation and cost control, tracking expenses against approved budgets.

• Analyze financial data to identify variances, trends, and areas for improvement.

• Coordinate with internal departments such as operations, procurement, and logistics for accurate financial reporting.

• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation and filing systems for easy reference.

• Use accounting software and MS Excel to generate reports, summaries, and reconciliations.

• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and handle data with integrity and professionalism.

• Support management with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.

• Perform additional accounting tasks assigned by senior management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized institution.

• Proven experience as an Accountant, with shipping or logistics industry experience considered an added advantage.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.

• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, including reporting and reconciliation functions.

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.

• Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
