Accountant Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and maintained.
• Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Monitor and manage school budgets, ensuring proper allocation and control of financial resources.
• Maintain accurate records of tuition fees, student payments, and other school-related income.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and financial regulations, particularly those related to educational institutions.
• Support monthly and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing systems for all financial records, ensuring audit readiness.
• Assist in preparing for internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and reports.
• Utilize school financial systems effectively to manage accounting data and reporting.
• Coordinate with school administration and management for financial planning and reporting.
• Ensure adherence to MOHRE financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably within a school or educational environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
• Hands-on experience with school financial systems and accounting software.
• Good understanding of MOHRE financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Effective communication skills to interact with staff, management, and stakeholders.
• Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a structured environment.
