Accountant Full Time

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
• Prepare and post journal entries, invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and credit notes.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger (GL).
• Process supplier invoices and customer payments promptly.
• Verify financial documents for completeness and accuracy before processing.
• Maintain petty cash records and monitor company expenses.
• Organize and maintain financial records and supporting documents.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Generate Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Statements, and Cash Flow Reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare financial reports and management summaries.
• Analyze financial data and identify areas for improvement.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.

Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company financial policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation for audit purposes.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Support tax, VAT, and statutory reporting requirements where applicable.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Recommend improvements to accounting procedures and internal controls.

Administrative Support

• Coordinate with procurement, sales, HR, and operations teams regarding financial transactions.
• Assist management with financial analysis and reporting.
• Prepare financial schedules and documentation when required.
• Maintain organized filing systems for financial records.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Previous accounting experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
• Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
