Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities and financial transactions.
• Record journal entries, payment vouchers, invoices, receipts, and credit notes accurately.
• Maintain the General Ledger (GL) and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and process supplier invoices and payments.
• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) by monitoring customer collections and outstanding balances.
• Maintain petty cash records and company expense reports.
• Ensure all financial documents are properly filed and organized.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Generate Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare management reports and financial summaries.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Analyze financial data and recommend improvements where necessary.

Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory regulations.
• Maintain proper documentation for financial transactions and audits.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Assist with VAT and tax-related documentation where applicable.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of financial records.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen internal financial controls.

Administrative Support

• Coordinate with procurement, sales, HR, and operations regarding financial matters.
• Respond to accounting-related inquiries from management and other departments.
• Maintain accurate electronic and physical accounting records.
• Assist senior finance personnel with special accounting projects.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Previous accounting experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and Bank Reconciliation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
