Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Manage daily accounting transactions and bookkeeping activities.
• Record journal entries, invoices, receipts, payments, and accounting vouchers.
• Maintain the General Ledger (GL) and subsidiary ledgers.
• Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) accurately.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing process.
• Generate cash flow statements and management reports.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for business improvement.
• Prepare reports in compliance with IFRS standards.

Compliance & Taxation

• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and company financial policies.
• Maintain VAT documentation and assist with VAT reporting when required.
• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• Maintain accurate financial records for audit purposes.
• Keep updated with changes in accounting regulations and financial reporting standards.

ERP & Technology

• Utilize ERP/accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, or similar systems.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools and new technologies to improve accounting efficiency.
• Prepare financial reports and data analysis using Microsoft Excel.
• Maintain data accuracy within ERP systems.
• Support automation initiatives for finance processes.
• Ensure secure handling of financial information and digital records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
• 1–2 years in a Senior Accountant role will be an added advantage.
• Experience in the construction, dewatering, engineering, or contracting industry is preferred.
• Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle and month-end closing process.
• Sound knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations.
• Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, or similar ERP/accounting software.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Willingness to embrace AI-enabled tools and modern finance technologies.
• Strong commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
