Accountant Full Time

Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting Operations

• Handle day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses, and other financial transactions.
• Prepare and maintain journal entries and supporting accounting documents.
• Maintain accurate General Ledger records.
• Verify invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents.
• Ensure accounting entries are complete, accurate, and properly documented.
• Maintain organized physical and digital financial records.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) transactions and supplier accounts.
• Verify supplier invoices and supporting documents before processing.
• Maintain accurate records of supplier payments and outstanding balances.
• Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) activities and customer transactions.
• Prepare customer invoices and record incoming payments.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue balances.
• Reconcile supplier and customer statements and resolve discrepancies.

Bank Reconciliation

• Perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Compare bank statements with accounting records.
• Identify and investigate discrepancies.
• Record bank charges, transfers, deposits, and other banking transactions.
• Maintain accurate cash and bank records.
• Prepare reconciliation statements and supporting schedules.

VAT & Accounting Compliance

• Maintain proper accounting records required for UAE VAT compliance.
• Assist with VAT-related documentation and reporting.
• Ensure invoices and transactions contain appropriate VAT information.
• Support preparation of VAT records and filing requirements.
• Maintain accurate supporting documents for tax and accounting purposes.
• Follow company accounting policies and applicable UAE regulations.

Financial Records & Reporting

• Assist with preparing monthly and periodic financial reports.
• Prepare accounting schedules and management summaries.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist with cash flow monitoring and basic financial analysis.
• Provide accurate financial information to management when required.
• Maintain proper documentation for financial reporting.

Accounting Software & Excel

• Use accounting software to record and manage financial transactions.
• Maintain updated accounting data within the company system.
• Use Microsoft Excel for reconciliations, calculations, schedules, and reports.
• Maintain accurate spreadsheets and financial trackers.
• Ensure data entered into accounting systems is complete and error-free.

Coordination & Administration

• Coordinate with suppliers, customers, banks, and internal departments regarding accounting matters.
• Respond to financial queries professionally and promptly.
• Follow up on pending invoices, payments, approvals, and documentation.
• Assist with audits by providing required financial records.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and business information.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of UAE accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Good knowledge of accounting software.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping, VAT, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bank reconciliation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Good knowledge of financial documentation and accounting procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple accounting tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Professional attitude with integrity and confidentiality.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a finance team.
