Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting Operations

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial and accounting records.
• Record daily accounting transactions in the company’s accounting system.
• Process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents.
• Ensure all accounting entries are supported by proper documentation.
• Check financial information for accuracy before recording transactions.
• Maintain organized records for easy retrieval and reference.
• Assist senior finance staff with routine accounting activities.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Record supplier invoices and customer transactions accurately.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and payment records.
• Assist with customer and supplier account reconciliations.
• Follow up on pending documentation related to payments and receipts.
• Maintain accurate vendor and customer account records.
• Support timely processing of financial transactions.

Bank & Account Reconciliation

• Assist with bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Compare bank statements with accounting records.
• Identify missing, duplicate, or incorrect transactions.
• Assist in reconciling supplier, customer, and general ledger accounts.
• Report unresolved discrepancies to the appropriate finance team member.
• Maintain proper reconciliation documentation.
• Ensure accounting records remain accurate and complete.

Financial Reporting

• Assist in preparing monthly and periodic financial reports.
• Prepare basic accounting summaries using Microsoft Excel.
• Update financial spreadsheets and accounting schedules.
• Support the finance team with month-end closing activities.
• Provide accurate accounting information when requested by management.
• Maintain records required for internal reporting and financial analysis.
• Assist with preparation of supporting schedules and documentation.

Microsoft Excel & Accounting Software

• Use Microsoft Excel for accounting calculations, reports, reconciliations, and data management.
• Maintain accurate Excel worksheets and financial trackers.
• Use formulas, filters, sorting, and basic reporting functions where required.
• Enter and update transactions in accounting software accurately.
• Maintain electronic accounting records in an organized manner.
• Learn and adapt to the company’s accounting systems and procedures.
• Ensure data entered into accounting software is accurate and complete.

Documentation & Filing

• Maintain proper financial documentation and filing systems.
• Organize invoices, receipts, vouchers, bank documents, and accounting records.
• Ensure confidential financial information is handled appropriately.
• Maintain both digital and physical accounting records where required.
• Retrieve documents quickly when requested by management or auditors.
• Support internal checks and audits by providing required documents.
• Follow company procedures for financial record retention.

Team & Administrative Support

• Coordinate with internal departments regarding accounting-related matters.
• Communicate professionally with suppliers, customers, and colleagues.
• Assist the finance team with administrative and accounting tasks.
• Respond to routine financial queries and escalate complex matters appropriately.
• Maintain a positive and cooperative approach within the workplace.
• Support colleagues during busy accounting and reporting periods.
• Perform other accounting duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidential financial information.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Immediate joining is preferred.
