Accountant Full Time

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules
• Perform bank, customer, supplier, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Handle invoicing, payment processing, receipts, and expense recording
• Monitor receivables and payables and follow up on outstanding payments
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Support internal and external audits by preparing financial schedules, working papers, and required documentation
• Coordinate with auditors and respond to audit queries
• Review financial transactions and identify discrepancies or control issues
• Maintain proper financial records and ensure compliance with accounting procedures
• Support VAT and Corporate Tax-related accounting and documentation
• Work closely with the Business Setup team to ensure accurate recording of company formation, licensing, government service, and related transactions
• Reconcile client accounts and ensure proper allocation of payments and service charges
• Review revenue and expenses related to Business Setup services
• Assist in preparing financial reports related to Business Setup operations
• Ensure all financial documents are properly maintained and available for audit purposes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 1 years of experience in a senior accounting role
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and strong organizational skills
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

• Experience in a Business Setup / Corporate Services company
• Previous experience in an audit firm
• UAE accounting experience
• ACCA, CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent qualification is an advantage
• Knowledge of company formation and government-related service transactions is an advantage
