Driver Full Time

To facilitate safe transfer of Patient/ Staff by strictly adhering to the hospital rules and regulation. To liaison with Government departments and other stakeholders as part of the routine work.

• Provide a professional and caring service for all patients whilst in the care of medical services.
• Always ensure that safety remains paramount and that safe systems of work are adhered to regarding seat belts etc.
• Follow Organizational Standing Operational procedures for the collection, transport and handover of patients, staff, documents, and equipment’s.
• Complete a vehicle check before every duty.
• Report defects and deficiencies of the vehicle and equipment.
• Report facts concerning accidents or incidents to the supervisor for timely action.
• Maintain the vehicle and equipment in accordance with the organizations infection control Policy.
• Ensure a vehicle accident pack is always kept on board the vehicle and report any vehicle damage in accordance with company policy and procedures.
•  Adhere with the speed limit to in all cases, and that driving is safe, and the patient/ staff is comfortable.

• Ensure that statutory regulations and organizational policies and procedures are always implemented and adhered to take part in staff development programs, performance appraisal, reviews and undertake further training when required
• Always act in a manner consistent with legislation, policy, and procedures in respect of Equality and Diversity
• Work to the values of the organization and display high standards of integrity and professionalism towards clients and colleagues
• Develop and update own knowledge and skills within the job role and contribute to setting own work objectives.
• Undertake any other duties relevant to the post as may be assigned from time to time which are consistent with the post.
• Ensure that they keep themselves up to date with company policies and procedures.
