Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
• Record journal entries, invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and credit notes.
• Maintain the General Ledger (GL) and supporting schedules.
• Process and monitor Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) activities.
• Verify supplier invoices, customer payments, and financial documentation.
• Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
• Maintain organized accounting files and supporting documents.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Statements, and Cash Flow Reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Analyze financial data and provide management with accurate reports.
• Ensure timely reporting of receivables and payables.

Import, Export & VAT Compliance

• Handle accounting related to import and export transactions.
• Maintain documentation for imports, exports, customs, and freight-related expenses.
• Prepare and maintain VAT records and assist with VAT filing.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and company financial policies.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Monitor tax-related transactions and maintain accurate statutory records.

Administrative & Financial Support

• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, warehouse, sales, and finance teams.
• Monitor customer collections and supplier payment schedules.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Perform additional accounting duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of accounting experience.
• Experience in the FMCG or General Trade industry.
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
• Experience handling overall financial transaction reporting.
• Good understanding of import and export accounting.
• VAT knowledge is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and accuracy.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
